Today is my stop on the latest Fat Quarter Shop quilt along, Precut Parade, celebrating their updated webpage that lists all their exclusive free quilt patterns! To make it easier they’ve now separated the free patterns by manufacturer and precuts.
Over the next two months a different blogger is going to make a quilt using one of the free precut patterns and then give away the precuts they used via Instagram.
I was lucky enough to be selected to make a project using a fat quarter bundle. I chose Alison Glass’ Road Trip collection with Andover. A beautiful collection featuring prints that Alison designed to represent a combination of imagination, memories, and themes.
I decided the Fat Quarter Shop Cobblestone Shortcut Quilt would be the perfect pattern to showcase the bold colours and larger designs. The quilt would be perfect for a beginner because there are no seams that need to be nested or aligned (although I would recommend using a rotary cutter and mat to get even rectangles).
